How Time & Case handles information about the people who visit it.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

The short version

This site does not ask you to create an account, does not sell personal information, and collects as little as it can while still being able to tell whether anyone is reading.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site and its hosting provider record standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the time of your visit, and the site that referred you. This is used to keep the site working, diagnose problems, and understand which articles are useful.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting web analytics to measure traffic in aggregate: how many people visit, which articles they read, and roughly where in the world they are. We do not use this data to identify individual readers, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site may set cookies to remember display preferences and to support the analytics described above.

Affiliate links set their own cookies. When you click an affiliate link and go to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may place a cookie on your device so it can attribute a later purchase to this site. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer, under the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you from reading anything here.

Affiliate links and third parties

This site participates in affiliate programmes, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you follow an outbound link, you leave this site and become subject to the destination’s own privacy policy and terms. We have no control over how third-party sites handle your information and are not responsible for their practices.

Comments and correspondence

If you contact us, we keep your message and your email address only for as long as needed to reply and to maintain a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list without your asking, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is processed. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the site.
